"Homeopathy cures a greater percentage of cases than any other method of treatment, and it is beyond all doubt safer and more economical and the most complete medical science."Mahatma Gandhi
Disease is a way for the organism to express its attempts to rebalance itself of its own accord, that is, to become healthy again. The symptoms presented by each disease help the practitioner support this process. Symptoms are signs to help us find the path towards health, so it is important not to try to fight or suppress them.
The physician, apothecary and chemist Dr. Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843) developed homeopathy 200 years ago. Up to this day, homeopathy is one of the most comprehensive and far-reaching therapies available, producing notable success the world over. Homeopathy means healing based on experience. Proof of its efficacy is provided by all the people who are successfully treated for acute as well as chronic diseases every day and without any side effects. Treatment does not solely focus on physical symptoms, but also actively seeks to include the patient's thinking and feeling, which, in many cases, also become positively altered.
Homeopathic remedies provide the organism with an impulse, a small nudge to help it heal the disease by itself. They activate natural healing potential of the body!
In principle, homeopathy is always beneficial, for adults as well as for babies, during pregnancy and for the elderly. When following the Laws of Homeopathy, there are no risks or adverse reactions whatsoever.
Classic homeopathy means applying the method of treatment as developed by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, its creator. Only one remedy is applied at any one time so its effectiveness according to the Law of Similars can be traced. Nowadays, so-called combination remedies are regularly prescribed based on a clinical diagnosis without taking into account the individual patient's symptoms. Lamentably, they are only superficially effective, as, due to their low potentiation, they seldom reach the patient's mental or psychological level.
Apart from very few exceptions, homeopathic remedies should always be prescribed by a trained homeopathic practitioner, as correct selection, dosage and monitoring are vital for therapeutic success. It is also important to consider interactions between the different homeopathic remedies. Otherwise, adverse reactions, such as antidoting or, if dilution was not chosen successfully, a so-called homeopathic proving might occur.
Imagine, you are repeatedly suffering from one or several complaints. Maybe you have been given medication to alleviate the symptoms, but you still need to go and see your GP at regular intervals for more or less the same reasons. In this case, constitutional treatment, which might be compared to "spring cleaning" your body, can help to remedy the cause of your recurring symptoms: its aim is to create a healthy base within your organism.
Following this therapy your susceptibility to colds will drop, you will have more energy, and you will feel more stable and better able all-round to tackle the challenges of everyday life!
Informed patients want someone who takes time to listen to their needs. They want to be able to talk about not necessarily just their symptoms but also the things that are happening in their lives: their fears and doubts and worries that might be troubling them. Often, they seek a competent therapist and empathetic advisor who will really take them seriously. In many cases, a body that suffers also affects the mind.
Looking back at the successful treatments delivered since starting my practice, homeopathy has proven to be a base therapy for a number of acute as well as chronic diseases. I will always adjust the method of treatment, and especially the type of therapy used, to the patient's individual needs, as this has proven to deliver the greatest therapeutic success.
,,Suffering is neither cruelty nor punishment but merely a corrective; a tool to point out a lesson which by other means we have failed to grasp, and never can it be eradicated until that lesson is learnt."Dr. Edward Bach
